Using the zip or rar file
1.Download AVGTHK16.DLL 1.0.0.0
2.Extract AVGTHK16.DLL 1.0.0.0 from .zip. We recommend that you extract AVGTHK16.DLL 1.0.0.0 to the installation directory of the program that is requesting AVGTHK16.DLL 1.0.0.0.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract AVGTHK16.DLL 1.0.0.0 to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place AVGTHK16.DLL 1.0.0.0 in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 AVGTHK16.DLL 1.0.0.0 and press Enter.
