Using the zip or rar file
1.Download avgres.dll 1.0.0.0
2.Extract avgres.dll 1.0.0.0 from .zip. We recommend that you extract avgres.dll 1.0.0.0 to the installation directory of the program that is requesting avgres.dll 1.0.0.0.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract avgres.dll 1.0.0.0 to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place avgres.dll 1.0.0.0 in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 avgres.dll 1.0.0.0 and press Enter.
