Using the zip or rar file
1.Download Ax5488.dll
2.Extract Ax5488.dll from .zip. We recommend that you extract Ax5488.dll to the installation directory of the program that is requesting Ax5488.dll.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract Ax5488.dll to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place Ax5488.dll in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 Ax5488.dll and press Enter.
