Using the zip or rar file 1.Download avdevice.dll
2.Extract avdevice.dll from .zip. We recommend that you extract avdevice.dll to the installation directory of the program that is requesting avdevice.dll.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract avdevice.dll to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place avdevice.dll in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 avdevice.dll and press Enter.
