Using the zip or rar file
1.Download d3dx81ab.dll 8.1.0.0
2.Extract d3dx81ab.dll 8.1.0.0 from .zip. We recommend that you extract d3dx81ab.dll 8.1.0.0 to the installation directory of the program that is requesting d3dx81ab.dll 8.1.0.0.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract d3dx81ab.dll 8.1.0.0 to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place d3dx81ab.dll 8.1.0.0 in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 d3dx81ab.dll 8.1.0.0 and press Enter.
