Using the zip or rar file
1.Download dshow508.ax
2.Extract dshow508.ax from .zip. We recommend that you extract dshow508.ax to the installation directory of the program that is requesting dshow508.ax.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract dshow508.ax to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place dshow508.ax in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 dshow508.ax and press Enter.
