Using the zip or rar file
1.Download deviceid.dll 5.2.3790.0
2.Extract deviceid.dll 5.2.3790.0 from .zip. We recommend that you extract deviceid.dll 5.2.3790.0 to the installation directory of the program that is requesting deviceid.dll 5.2.3790.0.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract deviceid.dll 5.2.3790.0 to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place deviceid.dll 5.2.3790.0 in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 deviceid.dll 5.2.3790.0 and press Enter.
