Using the zip or rar file
1.Download directx8tests.dll
2.Extract directx8tests.dll from .zip. We recommend that you extract directx8tests.dll to the installation directory of the program that is requesting directx8tests.dll.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract directx8tests.dll to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place directx8tests.dll in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 directx8tests.dll and press Enter.
