Using the zip or rar file
1.Download db2mdfile.dll
2.Extract db2mdfile.dll from .zip. We recommend that you extract db2mdfile.dll to the installation directory of the program that is requesting db2mdfile.dll.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract db2mdfile.dll to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place db2mdfile.dll in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 db2mdfile.dll and press Enter.
