Using the zip or rar file
1.Download f3dsound.vxd
2.Extract f3dsound.vxd from .zip. We recommend that you extract f3dsound.vxd to the installation directory of the program that is requesting f3dsound.vxd.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract f3dsound.vxd to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place f3dsound.vxd in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 f3dsound.vxd and press Enter.
