Using the zip or rar file
1.Download GUIDGEN.DLL
2.Extract GUIDGEN.DLL from .zip. We recommend that you extract GUIDGEN.DLL to the installation directory of the program that is requesting GUIDGEN.DLL.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract GUIDGEN.DLL to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place GUIDGEN.DLL in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 GUIDGEN.DLL and press Enter.
