Using the zip or rar file
1.Download gearextdll.dll
2.Extract gearextdll.dll from .zip. We recommend that you extract gearextdll.dll to the installation directory of the program that is requesting gearextdll.dll.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract gearextdll.dll to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place gearextdll.dll in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 gearextdll.dll and press Enter.
