Using the zip or rar file
1.Download gethicon.dll
2.Extract gethicon.dll from .zip. We recommend that you extract gethicon.dll to the installation directory of the program that is requesting gethicon.dll.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract gethicon.dll to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place gethicon.dll in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 gethicon.dll and press Enter.
