Using the zip or rar file
1.Download gres40d.dll
2.Extract gres40d.dll from .zip. We recommend that you extract gres40d.dll to the installation directory of the program that is requesting gres40d.dll.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract gres40d.dll to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place gres40d.dll in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 gres40d.dll and press Enter.
