Using the zip or rar file
1.Download res40c.dll 1.0.0.0
2.Extract res40c.dll 1.0.0.0 from .zip. We recommend that you extract res40c.dll 1.0.0.0 to the installation directory of the program that is requesting res40c.dll 1.0.0.0.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract res40c.dll 1.0.0.0 to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place res40c.dll 1.0.0.0 in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 res40c.dll 1.0.0.0 and press Enter.
