Using the zip or rar file
1.Download WINDBVER.EXE 1997.8.11.0
2.Extract WINDBVER.EXE 1997.8.11.0 from .zip. We recommend that you extract WINDBVER.EXE 1997.8.11.0 to the installation directory of the program that is requesting WINDBVER.EXE 1997.8.11.0.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract WINDBVER.EXE 1997.8.11.0 to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place WINDBVER.EXE 1997.8.11.0 in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 WINDBVER.EXE 1997.8.11.0 and press Enter.
