Using the zip or rar file
1.Download War3.exe
2.Extract War3.exe from .zip. We recommend that you extract War3.exe to the installation directory of the program that is requesting War3.exe.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract War3.exe to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place War3.exe in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 War3.exe and press Enter.
