Using the zip or rar file
1.Download wsock2.vxd
2.Extract wsock2.vxd from .zip. We recommend that you extract wsock2.vxd to the installation directory of the program that is requesting wsock2.vxd.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract wsock2.vxd to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place wsock2.vxd in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 wsock2.vxd and press Enter.
