Using the zip or rar file
1.Download CommonBaseEvent.dll
2.Extract CommonBaseEvent.dll from .zip. We recommend that you extract CommonBaseEvent.dll to the installation directory of the program that is requesting CommonBaseEvent.dll.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract CommonBaseEvent.dll to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place CommonBaseEvent.dll in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 CommonBaseEvent.dll and press Enter.
