Using the zip or rar file
1.Download CodecService.dll
2.Extract CodecService.dll from .zip. We recommend that you extract CodecService.dll to the installation directory of the program that is requesting CodecService.dll.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract CodecService.dll to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place CodecService.dll in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 CodecService.dll and press Enter.
