Using the zip or rar file
1.Download clientprefs.ext.dll
2.Extract clientprefs.ext.dll from .zip. We recommend that you extract clientprefs.ext.dll to the installation directory of the program that is requesting clientprefs.ext.dll.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract clientprefs.ext.dll to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place clientprefs.ext.dll in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 clientprefs.ext.dll and press Enter.
