Using the zip or rar file
1.Download Cognos.BI.WebPart.dll
2.Extract Cognos.BI.WebPart.dll from .zip. We recommend that you extract Cognos.BI.WebPart.dll to the installation directory of the program that is requesting Cognos.BI.WebPart.dll.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract Cognos.BI.WebPart.dll to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place Cognos.BI.WebPart.dll in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 Cognos.BI.WebPart.dll and press Enter.
