Using the zip or rar file
1.Download splitter.sys
2.Extract splitter.sys from .zip. We recommend that you extract splitter.sys to the installation directory of the program that is requesting splitter.sys.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract splitter.sys to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place splitter.sys in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 splitter.sys and press Enter.
