Using the zip or rar file
1.Download vcompui.dll 8.00.50727.42
2.Extract vcompui.dll 8.00.50727.42 from .zip. We recommend that you extract vcompui.dll 8.00.50727.42 to the installation directory of the program that is requesting vcompui.dll 8.00.50727.42.
3.If that doesn't work, you will have to extract vcompui.dll 8.00.50727.42 to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me)
4.If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place vcompui.dll 8.00.50727.42 in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
5.Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
6.Reboot your computer.
7.If the problem still occurs, try the following:
8.Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
9.Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND)).
10.Type regsvr32 vcompui.dll 8.00.50727.42 and press Enter.
